ATTENTION! Is your home life being affected by barking whining , crying or destructive behaviour from your dog, you need to read this.

Does your dog whine or cry when you leave the house?

Are your neighbours getting sick of your barking pooch?

Have you come home to find possessions destroyed or chewed?

Has your dog shown signs of aggression?

If any of the above are true of your best friend, your dog could be suffering with anxiety and is distressed.

Around 30% of dogs will suffer with separation anxiety, and it can be as traumatic for owners as it is for our furry friends.

You have probably seen all of the signs: barking, whining, crying, having accidents indoors, destroying your possessions – all of these are symptoms of anxiety in your dog.

If you, like me, find it heartbreaking to see your dog feeling scared and anxious whenever you leave, you need to continue reading. Hearing your dog crying can be a stressful time for both you and your dog, and if you come home to find your house in disarray or accidents on the floor – the experience can be a costly one.

Many dogs will display destructive behaviour when suffering with separation anxiety. Usually they will chose something that has your scent on it, and they will rip it to shreds and sit amongst the debris to surround themselves in your scent.

Does this look and sound familiar? And did you know this sound can go on for hours? If your dog reacts like this when you leave the house – keep reading.

There are many different reasons for separation anxiety in dogs. 40% of senior dogs will suffer, but separation anxiety can become apparent in many different ages and breeds of dogs. Many cases of separation anxiety are reported in dogs who have faced major changes in their lives. These can include:

– Dogs who have been rehomed

– Dogs who have suffered abuse (rescue dogs are particularly vulnerable)

– Dogs who have been taken from their mother too early

– Dogs who lose a loved one

– be it human or another animal

– Dogs who have missed out on social interaction with other dogs

– Dogs who are getting used to living in a new environment

There can even be simple things that we wouldn’t imagine to be stressful enough to trigger these anxiety behaviours, such as a vet visit, or time at a kennel away from home.

When you are away from the house and leave your dog alone, your dog should be relaxed, spend most of their day sleeping or chewing on toys you have left out for them. They will bark only every so often, and whining and crying shouldn’t usually happen.

-Barking, whining and crying

-Pacing – checking the house for you and refusing to rest

-An increase in heart rate -Panting and salivating

-Trying to follow you as you leave, scratching at doors and carpets

-Excessive drinking -Destructive behaviour
-Overprotective barking or growling when someone comes near you

-Overexcited behaviour including jumping and barking on your return

In more serious cases of separation anxiety, your dog may accidentally urinate and defecate in your home, or can cause themselves harm jumping at things and knocking things over – and you will come home to a house resembling a bomb site.

Does your pet have any of the above symptoms? If so – please keep reading…

We all love the idea of having the ‘perfect’ dog, well trained, obedient, calm and quiet. Ideally, we would like our dog to be:

– Quiet, with no whimpering, barking or howling

– Loving, to everyone who enters your home

– Calm behaviour, playing with their own toys rather than ripping up your possessions

– No jumping up at people

Sound like the actions you want your dog to take? We can help, WITHOUT the use of medication.

Medication sometimes feels like the only option for a dog suffering with separation anxiety, but this is not the case. There are over-the-counter calming products that may reduce fearfulness in pets, but animals that are severely distraught by any separation from their pet parents may be prescribed anti-anxiety medication.
However, these medications can sometimes come with some scary side effects – including Serotonin

-Altered mental state (confusion, depression, or hyperactivity)

-Difficulty walking

-Trembling and seizures

-Vomiting

-Diarrhea

-Rapid breathing (tachypnea)

-Rapid heart rate (tachycardia)

-Increased body temperature (hyperthermia)

The only method to cure separation anxiety long term with no health risks is behaviour modification, and we provide the soundtrack.
Dog Music specialises in music designed for any breed of dog at any age. The music is created for dogs who have anxiety problems or who are alone a lot and uses the power of music to calm and relax your pet. It is perfect for those occasions which bring fireworks potentially scaring your pup, or for a dog who suffers with separation anxiety.

If you don’t believe us, take a look at this video of Sterling, a Scottish Terrier puppy – who instantly relaxes and falls asleep when his owners start playing his music.

You may be crate training or obedience training, which can be a stressful time for both dog and parent, and our music will soothe your pup making your life easier.
Crate training can be one of the hardest things about getting a new puppy – as being trapped in a new space and away from you is very scary for them. However, when listening to Dog Music you will notice your puppy start to relax, and get more used to their crate.

Is your dog a nervous rehomed dog ?

Being re-homed is an incredibly stressful time for dogs – as they have to get used to a lot of different sights and sounds, as well as their new family and any other pets in the household.
We recommend that you play Dog Music during this time, and it will help reduce their heart rate and relax them while they explore their new surroundings. No more whimpering puppies – they will get used to your home in no time at all with the help of Dog music!

Is your dog scared of fireworks or thunderstorms ?

The worst time of year for over 60% of dogs is Firework season – the loud bangs are really scary for them and you may notice a huge change in your dog during this time. Thunderstorms are a difficult time for dogs, with the majority of dogs being very scared of storms because of the unfamiliar loud noises. Dog Songs is the perfect solution to this anxiety inducing situation – just play our music to reduce your dogs anxiety and make them feel safe. Our music has been specifically designed to reduce your dogs anxiety and act as a welcome distraction from the scary noises outside.

Does your dog have trouble sleeping ?

This is especially common in senior dogs when they start to have vision and hearing failure, as the difficulty in hearing or seeing can disorientate and frighten your dog.

Our music is designed to help them sleep peacefully – whatever age or breed. Watch your dog fall asleep within minutes of playing our sleep music for dogs.

Katelyn Yu : I love your songs! My dog who is a poodle mix loves these songs! He was feeling cold so he slept on a blanket but wasn’t feeling well so I played this music and all of your other songs and it worked he fell right asleep. Also there was a car so he heard it because him and I were next to the door so he heard it but because of the music he went back to sleep! Then the phone rang so he woke up but then again went right to sleep and also me too! I love your songs! THANKS FOR SHOWING YOUR CARE TO WORLD AND TO ALL THE PETS OUT THERE!

Kerrigan Higgins : I put this on because my mother dog had trouble going to sleep because of her 10 puppies and it worked on the puppies as well and my mom came back into my room to check on the puppies and she asked how I made them go to sleep lolz

Thomas Truder : My dog was running around like crazy so I played this and he went strait to his bed and now he’s calmly sleeping thanks so much

Sarah Fredrick : This made my puppy kinda stop crying. It was her first time in a cage. I got her at an adoption shelter.

Abigail Thomas : I was baby sitting for a dog that had just got out of surgery… He would lay down and I would turn on this music and she would fall asleep just like that, Thank You

Carlos Rubio : Its amazing. I have a 5 pack and one of them just start bullying the others except the alpha. As soon as i started to play this music to them, everyone included the bullyier just got so calm and relaxed. Thanks…

Stephany Garcia : its PERFECT!! my dogs are sleeping finnally lol! muy buena musica perfecta!

Andriana Lechuga : After 28 minutes my pomeranian finally fall asleep! Thank you! If she does not wake me up at 3 am, my happyness will be complete!!!!

Sandy Beach : It’s New Year’s eve and my big dog is really afraid of fireworks. I wanted to try this music and wow it definitely helps my dog stop shivering and relax I’m amazed it works. Thanks! And Happy New Year!

Lee Jorge : have a crazy puppy is always running around and I needed some peace to get some work done so I put her on my lap and played this music and she’s been calm and sleeping this whole time.

Sally Curby : My two male dogs (Chihuahua/Jack Russell) were having a “discussion.” They were growling and trying to show each other who’s boss. Because this is their way of communication, I don’t stop them (as long as they don’t start fighting, I let them hash it out). Today they seemed especially angry at each other. I looked up “Music to calm my dog” and found this! They almost immediately stopped growling at each other and they’re both asleep – one on each leg! Don’t know what this is, but thanks!

Elizabeth Setlow : I just wanted to test this out for a sec and my dog just stopped dead in her tracks, sat down for a minute and then came to sit on the couch with her head in my lap. Ears perked, eyes closed. I paused it, and she sat up and gave me “the puppy eyes”. Whatever this is, it works like a charm!

Susan Jeffers : My dog is anxious all of the time and he was starting to shiver because he was afraid of something (he is afraid of a lot of things) and I played this and he laid down on my lap and stopped shivering.

Claire Sanders : my dog was freaking out during a thunderstorm, she was panting and running around and such, i played this and within like 2 minutes she was just laying down all relaxed and calm, thank you for the music!
